Polished cotton thread made from long-staple Egyptian cotton, available in sizes 30 to 100 m and 53 different colors.
Product Description
These are 100% cotton threads made from high-quality Egyptian long-fiber cotton. The stiffening agent applied to this thread makes it stronger and smoother. Triple twisting and special stiffening (polishing) ensure that the thread does not unravel even during the most demanding processing. The thread is almost free of fuzz, which adds precision to bobbin lace (especially when inserting it under glass as a picture). The lace itself no longer needs excessive stiffening.
The range of cotton threads for shoemaking is extensive, but not all thicknesses are suitable for bobbin lace. The strongest thread, suitable for beginners or children´s learning, is considered to be the thread with No. 8, which is 50 tex x 3. The weakest is No. 50, which is 14.5 tex x 3. Thinner or thicker threads, which we also produce using this technology, are not suitable for ordinary, leisurely bobbin lace. However, we do not exclude their use for special projects.
