Whether you´re an experienced craftsperson or a beginner, our cotton threads allow you to create unique and beautiful products. With a wide range of weights, there´s something for everyone. Try our premium cotton and discover the difference.
These are 100% cotton threads, made from high-quality Egyptian long-staple cotton. The stiffening agent applied to this thread makes it stronger and smoother. The special finishing (polishing, or glazing) ensures that it doesn´t unravel even during the most demanding work. The thread is almost lint-free, which adds precision to bobbin lace (especially the kind you put under glass as a picture). The lace itself doesn´t need much further stiffening.
The assortment of shoemaking cotton threads is wide, and not all finenesses are suitable for bobbin lace. The thickest thread, suitable for beginners or teaching children, is considered to be thread with et. no. 8, i.e. 50 tex x 3. The thinnest is no. 66, i.e. 14.5 Tex x 2. Thinner or, conversely, thicker threads, which we also manufacture with this technology, are unsuitable for ordinary, leisure, bobbin lace. However, we do not exclude their use for special projects.
