Jana Novak is a perfectionist. For this reason, she has refined some commonly used techniques to give lace a beautiful appearance. She has also invented other techniques and illustrated them precisely. The whole process is documented with a large number of drawings.

1. The first book, titled The Beginning, contains more than 100 detailed drawings where each thread is carefully drawn. With this work, Jana Novak passes on her thirty years of experience to future generations of lacemakers around the world.
2. The second volume, titled Basic, provides advice on how to best use basic techniques and introduces new solutions by Jana Novak for joining two parts of lace in a simple way, even without using a hook. The book also contains various lace edges, including those with a strong structure, crossing many pairs at one point, and more. The illustrations are precise and easy to read.
3. The third book in the Perfect Bobbin Lace Techniques series is called Corners and Arcs. This volume follows up on the previous parts 1 and 2. The key techniques are solid corners without holes, a corner with one thread inserted, and other techniques that Jana Novak has developed. These selected techniques can be used in free clothing design and in creating practical art.
4. The fourth volume contains effects with which the lace will acquire an unusual, interesting appearance. The correctly chosen technique will also stiffen the bobbin lace laid flat. It can also be washed.
5. The fifth volume contains techniques and tips on how to unobtrusively, but also completely invisibly, finish the lace.
