Premium Cotton Thread for Your Most Perfect Handicrafts

Whether you are an experienced craftswoman looking for thread for your finest details or a beginner aiming for professional results, our polished cotton thread is the right choice. This premium thread, made from 100% long-staple Egyptian cotton, is designed for the most demanding handicrafts where precision and a perfect look are key.

Features and Benefits

  • 100% Egyptian Cotton: We exclusively use the highest quality long-staple Egyptian cotton, which guarantees exceptional strength, smoothness, and a pleasant feel.
  • Special Polishing: The thread undergoes a polishing (glazing) process that gives it extraordinary strength, smoothness, and reduces its tendency to fray. This makes working with it incredibly easy and the results professional.
  • Non-Splitting: The special treatment ensures that the thread hardly splits even during the most demanding work, which is crucial for achieving precise details.
  • Minimal Lint: The thread is almost lint-free, which you will especially appreciate when tatting. Your lace will be sharp, clean, and with perfect lines, ideal even for glass inlay techniques.
  • Ready to Use: Thanks to its treatment, the resulting lace requires minimal further stiffening, saving you time and effort.
  • Wide Range of Weights: We offer an extensive range of weights from very fine to thicker, so you can choose the ideal one for each of your projects, from delicate lace to sturdier shoemaking applications.
  • Made in the Czech Republic: We proudly bring you a product labelled "Made in the Czech Republic", which guarantees high quality of workmanship and local production.

Choosing the Right Weight for Your Project

We understand that choosing the right weight is crucial. Our range of "shoemaking" cotton threads includes various thicknesses that are ideal for specific techniques.

  • Et. No. 8 (50 tex x 3): We consider it the strongest thread, ideal for beginners in tatting or for teaching children.
  • Et. No. 66 (14.5 tex x 2): The finest thread in our regular range for very fine tatted lace and thread techniques.

Other thicknesses that we also produce may be suitable for special projects, but for regular leisure tatting, we recommend our range marked with the label.
