High-quality cotton thread made from premium Egyptian long-staple cotton, strength 30 (20 Tex x3) available in 100 m spools and a wide palette of 53 precisely selected colour shades.
Product Description
These 100% cotton threads are made from the finest Egyptian long-staple cotton, renowned for its softness and strength. A special finishing process (polishing, smoothing) gives the threads exceptional smoothness and resistance to fraying. Triple twisting ensures maximum strength and prevents unraveling, even with demanding bobbin lace work. Thanks to a minimal number of fluff, the thread guarantees a precise and clean look for your lace, especially in techniques where the lace is presented under glass. The resulting work thus gains a professional appearance and often does not require further stiffening.
Our other range of cotton threads offers a wide variety of finenesses, but not all are ideal for classic bobbin lace. For beginners and teaching children, we recommend the strongest thread with label no. 8 (50 tex x 3), which is easy to handle. Conversely, for detailed and delicate work, thread with label no. 50 (14.5 tex x 3) is suitable. Threads with a different fineness, although we also produce them, are not recommended for general bobbin lace, but may find application in specialized projects.
