A publication dedicated to lace caps from Hont – 40 patterns with drawings, descriptions, and the historical context of Mária Tuhárská´s lace.
The book Lace of Mária Tuhárská from Senohrad offers a unique insight into the traditional lace caps of the Hont region, as preserved and documented by the author Mária Tuhárská.
The publication begins with a brief historical context of the region, the development of bobbin lace and embroidery in this area. The main part consists of 40 hand-drawn lace patterns, supplemented by working procedures. The patterns are presented in their original size (width 1.5–2 cm) and in an enlarged form, suitable for working with thicker threads.
