Product Description

This is a 100% cotton thread made from high-quality Egyptian long-staple cotton. The subsequent process of sunburning and mercerization enhances not only the aesthetic but also the functional properties of this thread. Sunburning removes loose short cotton fibers from the thread using a flame. Mercerization increases the strength and enhances the appearance of the thread. The result is a uniformly rounded thread with a pleasant touch and a silk-like sheen. Mercerized cotton thread is also suitable for crochet or tatting. It has minimal elasticity, so the products made from it are already fixed and do not shrink spontaneously after work is completed.
